About me
With an interest in bagpipes from an early age, I started to learn the pipes in my early 40’s. My hometown is Wagga Wagga, and I proudly wear the vibrant Wagga District Tartan, in a nod to my birthplace. I first came to Armidale from 2008 to 2010, returning in 2014 where I have been living since. Early steps to start learning the pipes were taken during a 2-year stint living in Montreal, where I was introduced to Canadian Army ‘Black Watch’ piper Jeff McCarthy. While in Armidale I have spent time with the local community pipe band developing my early piping skills.
I am currently focussed on developing my piping skills to the next level, playing as a soloist and pushing myself further under the tutelage of Athol Chalmers, president of the Canberra College of Piping and Drumming
What I offer
I offer you the opportunity to bring a special touch to your event through bagpipe or small pipe music. Whether it’s celebrating the joy of a wedding, or birthday, recognising a significant achievement (military, academic, or school) at graduation or awards presentation; or bringing a special sense of solemnity to commemorative services, or farewelling a loved one.
